About Me
I started Making It Work to create a calm, supportive space for people navigating stress, uncertainty, and difficult periods of life.
I am a NIP (Nederlands Instituut van Psychologen) registered psychologist. I earned my bachelor’s degree from Georgia State University and later completed a MSc. degree in Psychology at the University of Amsterdam. My training gave me a strong understanding of human behavior, emotions, and coping.
Alongside that, I worked as an EMT on the ambulance. That experience taught me a great deal about how people respond to stress, fear, and feeling overwhelmed. In those moments, I saw how important it is to have someone who can stay calm, listen carefully, and help bring a sense of steadiness when things feel uncertain. It showed me that support is not always about having the perfect answer right away. Sometimes it starts with helping someone feel heard, grounded, and a little more able to face what is in front of them.
As an expat myself, I also understand the challenges that can come with adjusting to a new place, building stability, and finding your footing while navigating change.
These experiences shaped the approach I bring to this work. I aim to offer a space that feels thoughtful, grounded, and practical, where you can pause, reflect, and build the tools to move forward with greater clarity and confidence.
